Tiled and cast fronts became fashionable during the Hanoverian era and were made to either obscure or embellish a larger chimney opening. Featuring richly detailed castings the Art Nouveau can be selected as a front only for chimneys with a Milner tapered firebrick which is found in many homes constructed between the 1920s and 1980s. For a complete insert version, a cast-iron back is fitted and both are suitable for solid fuel and gas.
